Tesco Rolls Out OTS Group’s AVI Enabled Fuel Management Systems Nationwide
Following a successful trial in 2022, OTS Group is pleased to be rolling out our AVI-enabled fuel management technology across 14 Tesco Distribution Centres. Our innovative product, the EasyFuel+ AVI-enabled fuel management system, is set to streamline the way Tesco manages fuel across all its distribution centres, enhancing cost savings and operational efficiencies.
The system was put to the test at one of Tesco's Distribution Centres, where it underwent a rigorous trial.
Covering a fleet that included tractor units, rigids, trailers, rigid fridge tanks and shunters, the EasyFuel+ system demonstrated its ability to accurately record fuel usage, streamline refuelling operations, and significantly reduce the risk of fuel misuse.
Key features of the EasyFuel+ system include full dispensing control, which ensures that fuel can only be accessed by authorised vehicles, thereby completely eliminating unauthorised usage. This, coupled with the system's seamless integration into existing fuel and fleet management systems, offers a robust solution for modern fuel management needs.
The trial results were overwhelmingly positive, with 84% of drivers expressing satisfaction with the new refuelling process, and significant improvements noted in the speed and security of fuel transactions. These improvements translate into substantial cost savings.
Encouraged by the trial's success, Tesco has decided to implement the EasyFuel+ system across its distribution centres.
